Description: This postcard is a work of art. In the title, to the right, it says, “Nixedis Wildsee’s.” It could possibly mean, “Reject the wild," in German.” Here, we see, in the wild, a lovely woman holding harp while she pets a fawn. Just above the lovely Nymph is an owl, a common icon in Halloween folklore. Just above the owl is a creature, maybe a monster intent on destroying the nymph, or perhaps a guardian? We can see the full moon to the left. Instead of stars, we see starfish in the heavenly skies. Just above the lovely nymph, in the water, with a beard, we can see what looks like a symbol of death or the devil. He’s offering a snake up to the calm mistress. I’m not sure how this all turned out, but I know one thing, there is some crazy occult and witch things going on in the artwork. This postcard was printed in 1905. It has a German Stamp attached. The artist is unknown. I am selling this beauty AS SEEN WITH NO RETURNS. I have attached clear photos. Take your time and evaluate the postcards condition, both front and back.
