Description: Such a rare and wonderful textile!!! Purchased in the south of France, this gorgeous rustic textile was hand loomed most likely in the mountains of eastern France near Germany and Switzerland tho it is possible it if from one of those counties as well. I'd date it about 1900 could be earlier as well. Fabulous heavy, nubby, floppy homespun linen hemp blend. Beautiful to use on either side! Two full widths 32" with selvedge edges intact, meticulously hand stitched together. Over 5.5 yards of fabric if you separate the two panels! Hand hems as well. Cream and indigo stripes. Wonderful to use for upholstery projects, Pillows bed cover and many other sewing or home decor projects. Condition: Excellent for age and use! A few very small stains that I did not work on. Freshly laundered and ready to use. Please see photos and use zoom for additional item detail and condition. Measures approximately: 64" X 103" Over 3lbs. I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special! ***Please ask questions before purchasing.*** Thank you for looking!
