It has a lovely design with leaves and branches, typical for the Black Forest region. Each side has a small mirror, which looks lovely when something is displayed on the shelf, such as a figurine. The shelf is foldable and stands on it's own. It could also be hung on a wall, but you will need to add some hooks to hang it.It was made around 1800-1900, in France. Dimensions:Total height: about 10 1/4 inch / 26 cmDepth of shelf, in the middle about 5 1/4 inch / 13,5 cm Condition: Good antique condition, some minor surface wear and patina to the wood and patina spots to the small mirrors, 1 hinge on the back has an old repair made of a leather strap, see the photos. *flower in the photos is not included.
