They are in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no chinks, and the fact that they are indeed a pair increases the value dramatically. These ewers retail for over $1000. The material is glazed earthenware, and the decoration is transferprinted. The style is Fielding's 'Blush Ware' that is modeled after earlier bone china pieces by Royal Worcester from the 19th century. The design includes floral bunches with garlands and swags and harks back as a re-interpretation of Neo-Classical decorations. The pieces stand at a little over 12" in height.Stamped Devon War S.F. & Co. Stoke-on-Tren England, they are also hand numbered by the artisan who executed the mold and decoration.
