I believe the black background is enamel. The display box is not included in the sale of the ring. I believe this to have been made before 1920. Measurements: Size 9. It weighs 3.77 grams. The spinel measures approximately 1mm across. Condition: Vintage, previously owned. The condition is fair. There are only very minor signs of age/use/patina. The band has a slightly oval appearance.
