Description: This ledger is an awesome time capsule. The years it covers seem to be 1813 to 1818. You can see many different transactions between the cobbler and people. The book is COMPLETELY filled out. This was found at the estate of a huge collector of 19th century Americana. Although I can not pin down the author of this, my research shows this is from a north-western Connecticut area. I've scoured through the obituary sites and looked up names. A lot of the names written in there added up to the years they lived in windsor, East Windsor, and maybe enfield as it seem some pages mention Enfield. The condition is really rough, as you'd expect for a filled out ledger. This is the single most awesome thing I've found, and I'm happy to find a home for it with a collector that would cherish this.
