Description: Immortal figure, Shiwan porcelain created in China, during the Republic Period (1912 to 1949). polychrome glazed, very expressive depiction of a Daoist immortal sitting on a rock, holding a gold stick. bottom Intaglio mark of Chinese characters in rectangle, it's impressed into the base. This figure has exquisite detail especially to the face and hand. The lips are lightly glazed, and the top knot is white and blue with a light glaze. Ears and nostrils have holes in them. The robe and base has a polychrome glaze. It measures about 7 1/2" tall.This is in beautiful condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or breakage that I have seen.
