This French publisher created beautiful books in a style known as "Romantique Cartonnage", that were often given as prizes/awards by schools. This style of book is RARE to find in the USA!Book is in Fair/Poor condition. Lots & lots of wear & rubbing on the covers. Damage to the top/bottom of the spine. Corners are bumped/split a lot. Other damage to the covers including small parts of the cover is missing particularly around the spine. Front cover has been detached and repaired with a piece of white tape on the inside cover. Interior is in Fair condition. Bookplate indicating this was an prize, but part of the bookplate is missing. Hinge is split at title page a little bit.
