Antique Armand Marseille Floradora KID Doll Body Germany 17" Needs Head/Repaired

Description: Welcome to my ebay store This listing is from my doll dr. biz, it is a circa 1900 pre WWI Armand Marseille FLORADORA doll BODY only. It measures around 17" in length, the leg repaired is slightly shorter than other leg. See photos to determine fit of your shoulder head in depth and width. This body has the FLORADORA label still on the torso. Riveted buttons at joints show age wear, leg was repaired with antique kid leather which won't be an issue once she is dressed. Her bisque lower arms are original and definitely identical in size and form but have lost some color in one. Her head would have to be a shoulder head re size I would guess around a 4-5" head. I would guess this body would make a 22" doll give or take. Lower bisque arms/ hands are in nice condition, no chips just color fade on one. Floradora dolls were made from 1901 to 1921. Armand Marseille made the bisque heads. The doll bodies were usually made of kid, but composition, cloth, and imitation kid bodies were also made. Armand Marseille also sold the bisque heads to other companies. The dolls were made in several sizes. A 14" Floradora doll with bisque shoulder head and hands, sleep eyes, wig and kid body could be bought at a department store for 50 cents in 1909 (when the average worker made 22 cents an hour)! If you have the correct head, here is the body she needs. The shoulder area is open to allow inserting the shoulder plate then you can glue down the shoulder pieces.
