The pincushion is made of a Basic Black Fabric Backing (feels like possibly wool but not sure) with a beautiful front which is Black Needlepoint Background with a really vivid PINK & DARK GREEN Amish/Mennonite Star Center- just beautiful! This is an Amish/Mennonite pincushion form and design from our collection. The pincushion is an original, created most likely between 1900-1949 (But could be possibly a little later also)- hard to tell as the same patterns and older fabric was used) in the US-Northeast region by a PA Amish or Mennonite Maker. It is just very nicely made. The pincushion is perfect for anyone who loves Americana and primitives. The folk art piece is a great conversation starter and is sure to be a unique addition to any antique pincushion, textile, or sewing collection. The pincushion measures approx 5" X 5".
