They are absolutely full of illustrations--color plates (some with gilt embellishments), fold-outs, maps, beautiful engravings, diagrams. Original bindings with some library information hand-lettered on spines. These are heavy books (approx. 4 lbs each). So good! Bindings are tight with some bumping to corners and some superficial marks on covers here and there. Please remember that these items are antique, vintage, or pre loved and will show signs of their previous lives. They are not perfect. Any major disclaimers will be noted.
