Description: This is a very rare opportunity to bid on a Complete deck of hand cut chromolithographed gilt edged playing cards produced by Charles Goodall and Sons in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee (1897). Each card features a portrait of Queen Victoria on the reverse side and are gilt on all four edges. The four king cards show Portraits of long reigning monarchs Henry VIII, Edward III, Henry III, George III. The Queen Cards show Elizabeth, Philippa, Eleanor, and Charlotte. The jack cards show Robert Dudley ( Earl of Leicester) Edward (The Black Prince) Edward ( Prince of Wales) and George (Prince of Wales) These cards if available have been sold in the past as individual cards, a full deck becoming available is a rare opportunity for collectors.
