Description: This is a vintage Ansen cast steel manual transmission bellhousing for Small Block Ford engines. The part number cast in the the bellhousing is 5016-T as shown. These scattershield bellhousings were much stronger than the factory bellhousings and were designed to keep clutch and flywheel explosions inside of the scattershield instead of blowing through and harming or killing the driver or damaging the car. These were very expensive when new so they are quite rare today. Finding one of these early Ansen scattershields today is a very difficult task. I believe this bellhousing will fit many years and models. Please confirm your specific application. This bellhousing is in good original condition and will clean up even better. There is one clearancing modification on the lower driver's side as shown which seems to be pretty common on these. I imagine there was a frame rail clearance issue on many applications so it has already been done for you. All threads are in good shape. The clutch fork is also included as shown. This is simply an awesome speed part from the 60's that will really give your car that true vintage vibe.
