Description: Alvino Bagni Italy Raymor Blue Green Pottery Planter Vintage Mid Century Rare. This planter was created in Italy by Alvino Bagni for the importer, Raymor, who was one of the signature importers of Bitossi, Bagni, and other Italian ceramic products to the US in the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. This piece still has original Raymor tag for Bagni and market R286 Raymor Italy. Made from fine white clay which was used after 1960. The colors of the glazes are very rare and unique and include sapphire blue, olive green, and lavender with raised lavender reeds for texture. The interior of the vase is also glazed with the same color combinations. Its is in good condition with 2 minor chips at the base and 1 very small glaze chip at rim. Please see photos above as I have zoomed in on those areas. The planter measures about 6.25" tall x 5.5" wide at top and 3.25" at base.This is a beautiful piece of Italian mid century modern pottery by Bagni and will make a great addition to your MCM style or Italian pottery collection.
