Attractive cream cloth with black decoration to board and spine, in the uncommon pictorial dust jacket. Illustrated endpapers, with various plates, diagrams, charts of kings and queens, and more, throughout. A very good book, slightly rubbed and marked externally, but the binding tight and square, the textblock with a few light stains. Internally clean, gently spotted at prelims with ink signature to title page—note there is no half-title, with no evidence of removal. Else clean. The dust jacket unclipped with several chips, loss and tears, most notably along front panel joint. Other joints rubbed, several nicks and bumps to edges but an uncommon jacket.
