Description: This auction is for a fine pair of vintage Chelsea House hand painted porcelain botanical decorated canisters. This nice pair were purchased from a prominent Washington D.C estate. These are high quality hand painted porcelain Chelsea House canisters. The artist hand renders a plethora of colorful painted floral depictions. This pair have an English Regency influence, with ovoid forms and dished, shield style "ringed" lids, (see pics). These were modeled after fine continental pieces that were made hundreds of years ago. They measure 6" in length, 4" wide and just over 6" tall. They are signed on the bottoms, Chelsea House. Although they are modestly vintage, they are mint with no signs of wear whatsoever! They were probably displayed and never used for utility. Truly a lovely pair of Regency style canisters and will be a wonderful addition to your Chelsea collection/fine decor. Please check my other auctions for nice antiques, collectibles and such.
