59 pc Vtg Marcrest Ebony Elegance Starburst SS Flatware Serv for 6 + Serving Pcs

Description: Happy to offer this great set of vintage Marcrest flatware. 59 pieces altogether. Made in Japan. Pattern is the ever-popular starburst design with black handles. I have seen the same exact design, with more "stars", called "Ebony Elegance". That more common version has a "line" that runs down the stainless, which I consider a distraction. Besides, the TWO Star pattern, as these, has "fuller", nicer Starbursts. (my personal opinion) I'm not exagerating folks, but I've been collecting this pattern for 20 years, and decided it was time to gather it all up, sort, and create some fine offerings. It took me a couple days.....I didn't realize I'd amassed so many pieces.....:-D That said, I'm selling this complete Service for SIX 5-piece place settings. In addition, there are 5 serving pieces....plus bonuses! Synthetic handles in black; Ebony. The handles feel smooth. Obvious to me that none found their way to any dishwasher....yay! They are even better looking in person..... Black color is good; from very black to a little lighter. No stand-out dull handles. I will send winner a good tip regarding a product to use for the few handles you might wish to get back to their original deep black color. No cracks on handles. Not noticed until picture-taking, I see a chip on one cocktail fork. It's in the back, at bottom. See image 7. The stainless looks good, showing light use, to different degrees. I didn't wash the lot, so some pieces that are a little dull will brighten up nicely. Others look barely used and have a bright shine. I use Bar Keepers Friend, or Ajax, with damp sponge & rub well, avoiding the synthetic or wooden handles. Use sponge (no scrubbers) & dish soap for the handles. No disposal damage. Blades and tines straight. As a special Bonus, I've included a set of 6 serrated fruit/grapefruit spoons. Same exact design, but without any stars. I believe these are UNF 108. Another Bonus is set of 6 cocktail forks. Five with the stars. The 6th is again the UNF 108, with the blade being just a tad different.
