Description: Description of the coin Coin of the 1859 model, minted from 500 silver. The front and back sides have a protruding edge around the circumference with 98 teeth facing inward. The edge of the coin consists of many vertical notches. On the obverse of the coin in the central part there is an image of the Small State Emblem of the Russian Empire, model 1856. On the coat of arms there is a double-headed eagle, crowned with two imperial crowns; above there is the same crown, but of a larger size, connected to the lower crowns with a fluttering ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew. The eagle holds a scepter with its right paw, and an orb with its left. The Moscow coat of arms is placed on the chest: St. George on a horse, striking a serpentine dragon with wings with a spear. The Moscow coat of arms is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called. On the raised wings of the eagle are the coats of arms of eight kingdoms (four on each wing). On the left are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Kazan, Poland, Tauride Chersonese, as well as the combined coats of arms of the great principalities: Kyiv, Vladimir and Novgorod. On the right are the coats of arms of the kingdoms: Astrakhan, Siberian, Moscow and the Grand Duchy of Finland. The eagle's tail is made in a stylized manner. To the left of the tail is the letter A, to the right is the letter P (the initials of the Mintmaster of the mint). On the reverse of the coin, the denomination is indicated in the center: the number 5, under it the word KOPEEK. There are two stars to the left and right of the number, and an imperial crown above the number. Under the denomination there is an ornament in the form of two stylized lines, between which there is a rosette. Below is the year of minting 1903, even lower are the letters S.P.B., meaning St. Petersburg. Along the edges of the coin there is a wreath of two branches connected at the bottom with a ribbon.
