Description: Up for sale are three identified cabinet photos from the same family. One oval photo, mounted on a card, shows two children. On the back is marked in faint pencil: "Wm. Diedrich, Alfred's brother / Alfred Diedrich, father of Phyllis and Larry Diedrich". Another photo of the two boys is labeled on the front in pen "Alfred + Bill Diedrich". The other is not labeled, but is clearly the older brother, William Diedrich. These were purchased together in the same antique store in Central Minnesota. In researching, I found these photos feature Wilhelm Diedrich (1899-1988) and Alfred Diedrich (1900-1981). They were the only sons of their father, Wilhelm Diedrich, who died in 1901 at the age of 26. Their mother, Anna (Gruenhagen) Diedrich, married again. They lived in Douglas County, Minnesota (near Alexandria). I tried to find living relatives of this family to no avail. The mounted photo card measures 7 1/4" by 5 1/8". The two unmounted cabinet cards measure 5 3/8" by 3 3/8". There are the marks I mentioned and a couple of spots (see photos), but they are very minor.
