Description: 19th Century Safronow Russian Hand Painted Pink Green Gold Neoclassical Saucer B Rare early 19th century porcelain saucer by the Russian Safranov / Safranoff / Safranow factory. Decorated with Neoclassical gold medallions and cornucopias with green leaves and pink fruit over a pink background. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a blue underglaze S mark. Has a lot of wear to the decoration. Has a long Y shaped crack extending from the center of the saucer through the foot rim which doesn't quite reach the edge of the saucer but has a curved tight crack crossing the bottom of the Y. Also has a chip to the edge with an associated tight crack extending off the edge. Measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. BU
