Description: PCGS 1999-P Jefferson nickel struck on a cent planchet. The coin is struck on the copper planchet of a Lincoln cent, and so is an obvious off-metal, with the red, copper surfaces contrasting with the expected "nickel" appearance of the 5c. The coin is the design of a nickel, but is struck on the 2.5 gram planchet of a cent. A rare date for nickels on cent planchets, with an estimated 5-6 known. MS64 red with beautiful, lustrous surfaces.
