Description: 1958 MCM Tuppercraft Laundry Hamper, Vintage Tupperware, Marbled Scallop Pattern, Retro Bathroom, Good Clean Condition, Rare Beautiful early Tupperware hamper standing 26" tall and measuring 13" wide at the lid. This original, retro laundry basket is complete and fully intact, ready to use in a Mid-Century bathroom or bedroom. The pearlescent creamy, light gold color sides are designed in a swirled, scalloped pattern. It has two black and white twisted-rope carrying straps and a removable white top with a gray marbled handle labelled "TUPPERCRAFT BY TUPPERWARE PATS. APPL'D FOR (copyright) 1958 TUPPER CORPORATION U.S.A." A five-legged white bottom panel displays the same identifiers. All grommets are secure and rust-free, the ropes intact without any major fraying, and the body solid, displaying no holes. Total empty weight of this basket is 1 lb, 4 1/2 oz. Mild vintage use and age-related wear is present and to be expected. These include four stable, 2-4" splits in the plastic, three on the lid and one on the bottom, very slight bowing of the plastic body at the rivets, a hint of overall discoloration, scratches and scuffs localized mostly on the feet, and a few tiny surface wear spots on the body, the largest one measuring 1" (see photos). All these blemishes are minor at best, though, and do not distract from the retro charm or function of this piece.
