However, it took a disqualification to give the cup to Guy Lombardo's boat, Tempo VII, which finished third in the final heat. Miss Pepsi, the apparent winner, was disqualified by Starter Mel Crook, who said the boat jumped the starting gun by four seconds. Photo is Dated: September 18, 1955.
