Description: This is an incredibly rare original vintage 1954 British Railways Yorkshire Knaresborough Lithograph Poster by Artist Jack Merriott and printed by Jordison & Co., Ltd. London & Middlesbrough, Published British Railways North Eastern Region. These vintage travel posters are highly collectible and this is a very rare example of an original print. This is an absolutely stunning piece of railway history in excellent condition. The colors are vibrant and bright with no fading and there is very little wear or damage. There are two very small areas with color outside the main print area, from the lithographic printing process - very faint blue on the bottom left & very faint yellow on the top left. There is one very faint crease-like line across the middle that has been flattened in the framing process. See photos for detail. Otherwise, this is a museum quality piece.
