This picture, passed by the British censors, shows Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain snapped when she made her armistice day radio address to the women of her empire, November 11th. Tenor of the address was an appeal for fortitude. "We, no less, than the men, have vital work to do. You are doing your part in keeping the home fronts, which have dangers of their own, stable and strong." The Queen recalled also, that her last radio address was made at the end of her visit to Canada and the United States. "The world was then at peace," she said. Photo measures 6.75 x 8.5inches.
