The sockets are VERY CLEAN ..first era of chrome...looks greatThis is a vintage usa 1938 None Better No. 600 1/4-drive socket set......impossibly rare and "ALMOST" complete with all original parts!!! The 3/8 6-point socket is an orphan replacement, but is a correct geometric and point match. Otherwise, the set is all original....even with that one missing socket, it is amazing to find it so complete. Parts original to this set: M50 flex-head handle, an M30 cross-bar, six 6-point sockets, and 8 point sockets. Flex-head handle and cross bar are original. The 1937 catalog states: The hex socket models and sizes were M608 (1/4), M609 (9/32), M610 (5/16) , M611 (11/32), M612, (3/8) and M614 (7/16). The set also included three double-square (8 point) sockets, with models and sizes M808 (1/4), M810 (5/16), and M812 (3/8).This set has sockets marked accordingly with the "M" series of numbers.The steel case has dimensions 6.8 inches long by 2.3 inches wide by 1.1 inches high. If there was a decal at one time, it is gone.
