Lamp was completely disassembled, and ALL parts were media blasted to the bare metal. They were sprayed with an automotive grade etching primer and then sprayed with 3 coats of automotive grade metallic paints in two colors: Antique Brass and Antique Copper. ALL Bulb Sockets, Switches, and Wiring was replaced with new UL approved parts. 7 feet of Reproduction Rayon Braided Cloth Covered Cord with a Reproduction Bakelite 2-Prong Polarized Plug were installed to GUARANTEE THIS IS SAFE TO USE FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS OR MORE! The cord comes out below the center of the Base and moves 360 degrees, so there is no front or back to the Lamp. The switches are shown to the front left in the photos but can be positioned on the right, left, rear... ALL Bulbs can be on or off independently from each other in ANY combination. The center Mogul Bulb Socket Holder has a 2-3/4" Fitter with 3 thumbscrews to hold a milk glass shade or a light diffuser cone (not included) which allows for several options:If you plan to use a fabric shade to cover ALL the bulbs, you will use a large diffuser cone and install appliance bulbs (like those used in the pix) with a large diameter shade (such as a drum shade) because the 3 bulbs will be hidden.If you use only a decorative milk glass shade, OR a small diffuser cone and a tapered shade (either of those covers just the center bulb but not the arms) you will use decorative "flame tip" or "round tip" style bulbs OR Carbon Filament Edison Bulbs (if you are trying to keep it period correct) because the 3 bulbs would be exposed. Center Bulb is the large E40 Mogul Style with a 3-Way (Hi-Med-Lo) Rotary Knob Switch on the side of the Socket Holder. (3-Way MOGUL BULB IS INCLUDED) 3 Arms hold the standard E26 Medium Base light bulbs (bulbs are NOT included) and are controlled by a Rotary Knob Switch on the Urn shaped Cluster Body. They can be 1, 2, or 3 lights on. Light in the Base is a night-light style E12 Candelabra Base LED (BULB IS INCLUDED) and is controlled by a push button On-Off switch in the base you press with your foot to operate.
