Description: This is a 1929 original yearbook "The Athenian" from Sherman High School, featuring great old photos of the Sherman Texas Bearcats. It captures the history of the school year and is a wonderful addition to any collection. The hardcover binding is in good condition and the book was printed in the United States. It is a true piece of history that will be cherished for years to come. There is not much writing in the book, except for the first two pages. I guess they did not sign annuals back in the day. The binding is tight to the book, but there is some foxing as seen in the 4th picture. A look back in time. Pretty good condition for a 95 year old book. Happy graduates before the stock market Black Friday crash of 1929. I especially liked the information on the Bearkittens (last picture) which I guess were the junior varsity football team. "Bearkittens make Bearcats" but of course! Please see photographs or use the Ebay magnifying feature if that is available to you for an accurate depiction of the condition of this item.
