Description: This Jules Goux card #14 from the 1927/1928 Amatller Automovilismo set has moderate to heavy wear to the card to include a small tear at the bottom of the card. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. This issue of the Amatller Automovilismo set consists of 23 cards featuring prominent drivers in Europe and the Catalonia region. Amatller is a chocolate company based in Barcelona, Spain, since 1797 and continues to operate today. They would include these cards with the purchase of their chocolate. The front of the card features the driver/riding mechanic while the back of the card has driver information written in Spanish. Jules Goux was the first foreign-born driver to win the Indianapolis 500. The Frenchman would serve his country during World War 1. Upon the conclusion of the war, Goux would win the inaugural Italian Grand Prix. His last race at Indianapolis in 1922 resulted in a 25th place finish.
