IN LOVELY ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS IS A WATCH OF STUNNING QUALITY. OILED AND TIMED BY MY WATCHMAKER AND READY TO GIVE AS A WONDERFUL GIFT TO YOUR LOVED ONE!! THIS IS A GENUINE IWC WRIST WATCH AND IS NOT, I REPEAT NOT A POCKET WATCH CONVERSION!! CASE: The stunning case to this beautiful IWC watch is solid 18 CARAT GOLD. IT IS A VERY GOOD QUALITY CASE. The case covers all snap to and only show normal wear and tear. The case back is in lovely condition showing some light normal wear marks. There may have been an old inscription which may have been polished out. The wire lugs are solid gold and ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. I can see no dings to the eye. I have gently polished the case,and it is shining nicely, as only hi grade solid gold can. The dust cover is ALSO SOLID 18 carat gold. It is in excellent condition showing some light marks where it has been opened but NO dings. The inside of the case is marked CN for Charles Nicolet who was the owner of Stauffer and sons. THE WATCH MEASURES 3.3 CMS (33mm) IN DIAMETER EXCLUDING THE CROWN. DIAL: This gorgeous IWC watch has a fantastic and minty bright white 100% original IWC dial. It is in fabulous condition for its age. It is FULLY SIGNED for Hamilton & Inches (some wear to the wording) in a beautiful typesetting. It has beautiful sharp and crisp Arabic lume painted numerals which are absolutely, crisp and clear. The crystal is brand new and as such is in excellent condition. The dial has lumed blued steel 'Cathedral' style hands which are in good condition. The hour hand has lost some of its lume. This is a really fantastic original dial. (Very unusual for a watch of this age) It must have been kept away from the light of day for most of its life. MOVEMENT: This is a beautiful Swiss top quality original fully signed crown wind and set 15 jeweled 100% genuine IWC early calibre 63 movement. The movement is signed ‘S&Co for Stauffer and Son who imported all of the UK’s IWC movements in this time period. Under the balance it is signed ‘Peerless’ which is the one characteristic proving its IWC roots. The watch is also signed IWC under the dial. The movement is in excellent condition. When being wound, every now and again, a click can sometimes be heard but the watch winds fully as it should. This beautiful IWC movement exudes quality and is a high end product. The movement is running well and has just been oiled and timed by my watchmaker. it is running well and has kept decent time to within a minute per day as tested over the last 24 hours. BAND: This stunning watch is fitted with a lovely brand new brown Denver calf leather 12mm extra long band. The band is unworn and as such is in excellent condition. The watch and band measure 8 inches in total length.
