Description: Great little booklet by The Anti-Tuberculosis League of Kenton County, Covington, Kentucky. Dated 1919, this booklet was distributed by the Committee on the Prevention of Tuberculosis of the Brooklyn Bureau of Charities and is titled "Health First Reader, For Healthy, Happy Children." 17 pages not counting the paper covers bound with string. The front cover and each of the 17 pages has colorful depictions of children in everyday life, playing, at school, at home, etc. The text is in poem form and covers the causes of and prevention of tuberculosis in children. This little booklet is in very good condition. There is some yellowing and soiling, especially to the covers, but there are no tears or creases. The colors are bright and vivid as well. It appears that the previous owner, Dorothy Nielsen, has written her name across the top of booklet in blue pen. Please note that I do not ship internationally.
