Dramatic Etude in 4 Acts" by Alexander Pomorsky ALEXANDER NIKOLAEVICH POMORSKY (1891 – 1977) Proletarian poet, journalist Alexander Nikolaevich Pomorsky (real name – Linovsky) was born in Novgorod province. He was not yet 18 years old when he joined the party in 1908. His first poems were published then. From that moment on, his revolutionary and poetic activity began. Pomorsky took part in the capture of the Winter Palace. The talented young man devoted to revolutionary ideas could not go unnoticed. As an employee of the newspapers Pravda and Zvezda, he published poems in them, glorifying people who fought for freedom. Alexander Pomorsky arrived in Tambov province in 1918, initially worked in Kozlov - he headed the editorial office of the newspaper Izvestia Kozlovskogo Sovet rabochikh, sodalskikh i krestyanskikh deputatov. Under him, the newspaper began to be published regularly and was accessible to every reader. In September of the same year, Pomorsky headed the Tambov branch of Proletkult, which played an important role in uniting the cultural forces of the city. With the active participation of Pomorsky, books were published, the work of the local theater was intensified. The poems of the revolutionary poet often appeared on the pages of Tambov newspapers. The first book, "Flowers of Rebellion," was published in 1918, and soon the second, "Revolution in the Palm of Your Hand," was published. Pomorsky lived and worked in Tambov until 1925, writing many poems here that were later included in collections: "Selected Poems" (1935), "Poems and Poems" (1938), "The Birth of a Song" (1958), etc. In addition to poetry, he wrote plays, the most famous of which are "Sunbeams" and "World Fire." In 1925, A. N. Pomorsky, having received a new appointment, left Tambov. And in the following years he continued his active revolutionary and literary work. In the 1950s, he visited Michurinsk and Tambov. In 1973, the book "Order of the Heart" was published in Moscow by the publishing house "Khudozhestvennaya Literatura", in which the author included the poem "The Nineteenth Year in Tambov".
