Description: This is an early pontiled Double Vine Bellflower pattern quart decanter hand blown in the 1860s at McKee Pittsburgh glasshouse or Boston & Sandwich Glass Co....It has its original Brittania dispenser stopper with glass marble on a rod that opens to allow liquor to be poured out. Bottle is hand blown clear lead glass with ground/polished pontil scar on bottom....flared out ring collar....round slight tapered shape...it has the famous Bellflower Double Vine pattern around it with ribs....9 3/8"tall...10 3/4"with stopper.....Excellent shiny near mint condition with no chips or damage. One tiny pinhead nick on a rib. Sparkling clean with no haze. Original Brittania metal & cork stopper has its original green glass marble in top with rod attached. Glass marble has a crack but still works fine ....
