Description: Bronze with Black-Patina "Stretch Dancer" sculpture Made and Signed by Josef Lorenzl, Made in Austria 386 (foundry number?) This beautiful 1930s sculpture of an art nouveau/deco nude female dancer is made by famous Austrian bronze sculptor Josef Lorenzl (1892-1950). Josef was well known for making creations that celebrated the female form, like this statuette. She is marked "LORENZL 386 MADE IN AUSTRIA" on the side edge of the plinth. The dark green marble base is not original. The patina is scratched or worn in a few areas (thigh, shoulder, forearm - see photos) . Height of figure only at raised hand (excluding base) = 13.25 inches (34cm) Width from toe to fingers = 6.5 inches (17cm) Total Height with Base = 14.5 inches Approximate Weight = 4 pounds 6 ounces
