Description: This is a very nice100th Infantry Division Airborne pocket patch done in bullion. A modern copy, age unknown. Size is approximately 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. In the fall of 1946, the division was reactivated in the U.S. Army Reserve as the 100th Airborne Division in Louisville, Kentucky. This distinction as one of the few airborne divisions within the U.S. Army was brief; in 1952 the division was once again redesignated the 100th Infantry Division.
